- Overwhelming community support for NAS Meridian is evidenced by Navy
League membership (ranked 12th in the nation), local investment in base
support facilities (supplemental power, sewage treatment, access roads,
bus service, Navy Reserve building), and extraordinary efforts on behalf
of the base during 1991, 1993, and 1995 BRAC rounds.
- The greater Meridian area offers metropolitan area quality of life
amenities (malls, restaurants, Arts events, top level entertainment,
excellent colleges and universities, medical services, etc.) coupled
